March 31st, 2007 · 2 Comments
Hello. Jack here. Dad asked me to write about the Presentation Awards last night.
The presentation was held at the Southport Yacht Club at 6.30 pm and was a fun night. The food was really nice and there was lots of it. Some of the cyclists eat a lot, with food piling up high on some […]

Last Day Report - Kyogle To Surfers
March 31st, 2007 · No Comments
The final day started off in the quiet country town of Kyogle in Northern New South Wales.
A tired group of riders were looking forward to finishing for a well-earned rest.
Unfortunately the first stage of the final day doesn’t help - with the first stage of 36 kms being very hilly. See the elevation profile below.
Most […]

I would like to congratulate […]

This morning they rode a comfortable leg from Nambucca Heads to Coffs Harbour, but it was getting pretty warm (about 28 degrees.) and they […]

End Day 3
March 26th, 2007 · 6 Comments
Everyone is in Laurieton now after another 120 km today. Laurieton is about 30 km south of Port Macquarie.
The day started with a big climb in pouring rain, but then got flat for the next 40 km.
After morning tea it was a fast 50 km with the weather finally clearing and riders being able to […]

End Day 2
March 26th, 2007 · No Comments
My dad has just rung and everyone is safe and well in Bulahdela.
The last stage of Day 2 was very hilly with plenty more rain and big wind.
Everyone arrived really tired and wet and then had to set up tents.
Dad said lots of riders had their wife/husband’s ring the town looking for motel rooms because […]

Day 2
March 26th, 2007 · No Comments
After day one being really hard and hot day, two was really cold and it rained non-stop for the first stage.
Thankfully for them the rain stopped at stage two but it was still only 15 or 16 degrees.
Everyone’s getting well fed and listening to dad I think the food might be the highlight […]
