There’s only a few days left now for new riders to lock in their FREE ride kit comprising the ride jersey and knicks.
We’ve just finalised the design of the ride jersey and knicks – they look great and we’re really excited by the quality and the look of this year’s kit. There’s no free previews however, so you’ll have to wait till you get to the start line to see it.
We can’t wait to see what it looks like on a peloton of up to 200 riders cruising through Surfers Paradise on the last leg of this epic ride!
If any of your cycling friends are considering joining you, now’s the time to encourage them to also make the commitment and register for the ride before 1 March. You may like to share our website and facebook page with them.
In other news, our team has just returned from a full inspection of the ride route. They’ve confirmed changes to the route this year which mean we will be riding the whole way from Sydney to Surfers (no bus uplifts) and covering 1,000km over seven days. We’ll be updating the website soon with final details of the route.
Also, our friends at Cycling-Inform have helped us put together some useful tips to help with your ride preparation. Our training resources page now has information on optimising your bike fit, maintaining your physical condition, nutrition and effective training techniques. Cycling-Inform have also put together a suggested training plan to help you make the most of the remaining weeks leading up to the ride. You can download the training plan here.
