We’re excited to announce the dates for the twenty-first annual Sydney to Surfers Ride raising funds for Father Chris Riley’s Youth Off The Streets!
The ride will kick off from the usual spot in Hornsby on Saturday 4 May and conclude on Friday 10 May with the traditional mass peloton ride through Surfers Paradise. Following the success of last year’s end of ride celebrations, we’ll be returning to the Watermark Gold Coast Hotel again in 2019.
While there may be some minor changes to the route, our daily destinations will remain the same as the 2018 ride – we’ll be staying at Swansea, Buladelah, North Haven, Nambucca Heads, Grafton and Ballina before reaching Surfers Paradise.
Entries for the ride will open in early November and as part of the Sydney to Surfers community, you’ll be among the first to know when the online entry system is live. Our website is currently being updated with information for the 2019 event and will be up to date soon.
We’d like to thank those who responded to the post ride survey earlier this year. We appreciate the generally positive feedback we received. In particular, we appreciate the many constructive comments and suggestions made which we will take into account in planning the 2019 event. You can see a summary of the survey responses here.
Finally, we’d like to thank everyone who participated in and supported the twentieth anniversary ride in 2018. We’re very proud that the ride raised $252,000 taking the total over 20 years to $3.365 million!
